S8D Performance Features
The S8D is built for industrial shops that need more belt contact, more motor power, and better part support for metal deburring, edge breaking, weld cleanup, and surface preparation.
8" Wide Belt Face for Larger Metal Parts
The 8" wide belt face gives operators more contact area for plate, bar stock, brackets, weldments, longer edges, and larger metal parts. The wider work surface helps reduce repositioning during repeated sanding and cleanup work.
7.5 HP Motor for Heavy-Duty Sanding
The 7.5 HP motor gives the S8D the power needed for heavier metal cleanup, edge breaking, weld prep, and stock removal where lighter-duty sanders may slow down.
3,500 SFPM Belt Speed for Fast Material Removal
The 3,500 SFPM belt speed helps remove burrs, sharp edges, weld discoloration, and surface imperfections efficiently while maintaining control over the finished result.
Adjustable Cast Iron Table for Better Part Support
The 8" x 12" adjustable cast iron table provides a stable work surface for holding parts at a consistent angle during deburring, edge breaking, and surface preparation.
Air-Powered Belt Tensioning for Faster Belt Changes
The air-powered belt tensioning system helps make abrasive belt changes faster and more consistent, which is useful when switching belts for different materials, grits, or finish requirements.
One-Knob Belt Tracking for Simple Adjustment
The one-knob belt tracking system helps operators quickly align the abrasive belt and keep it running in the proper position during setup and daily use.
Heavy Steel Frame and Stand for Industrial Use
The heavy steel frame and stand give the S8D a rigid base for demanding use in fabrication shops, welding departments, machine shops, maintenance areas, and production environments.
Replaceable Steel Platen for Firm Belt Backing
The replaceable steel platen gives the abrasive belt firm backing for flat sanding, edge work, and controlled material removal. It can also be replaced as wear builds up over time.
Sealed Ball Bearings for Daily Shop Conditions
Sealed ball bearings help support smoother operation while reducing exposure to dust and debris created during regular sanding, deburring, and metal finishing work.
Multiple Abrasive Belt Options
The S8D can run different dry 8" x 60" abrasive belts to match the material, grit, finish requirement, and amount of stock that needs to be removed.
6" Dust Port for Dust Collection
The 6" dust port allows the S8D to connect to a dust collection system to help manage sanding dust around the work area and support a cleaner shop environment.
Magnetic Controls with Jog Button
The magnetic controls and jog button help operators start, stop, and check belt movement during setup, belt changes, and machine positioning.
Built for larger parts, tough cleanup, and daily shop use.
Use the S8D for industrial sanding jobs across fabrication, welding, machining, maintenance, repair, and production environments.
Fabrication, welding & heavy metal cleanup
Fabrication shops and welding departments use the S8D to clean cut plate, smooth rough edges, reduce burrs, and prep steel or aluminum parts before fitting, coating, or assembly.
Machine shops, maintenance crews & production teams
Machine shops and plant maintenance teams use the S8D to clean parts, finish fixtures, handle repair work, and keep repeat sanding jobs moving.
