Q: What materials can this saw reliably cut?
The KM14HS is designed for non-ferrous materials like aluminum, brass, plastics, and PVC. It’s especially useful for extrusions and trim work.
Q: Will it handle high-volume cutting in a busy shop?
Yes. With a high-speed spindle (~4400 RPM) and heavy-duty construction, it’s built for repeatable, production-level cutting without slowing down.
Q: How clean are the cuts right out of the machine?
With the correct carbide blade, cuts are smooth and burr-free. This reduces secondary finishing time, which is critical in production.
Q: How accurate are the mitre cuts?
The positive index stops allow accurate mitre cuts up to 45° left and right, which is important for frame work and precision assemblies.
Q: Is this machine easy for operators to use?
Yes. It uses simple manual controls, so operators can get up to speed quickly without complex training or programming.
Q: How stable is the machine during cutting?
The cast iron base minimizes vibration, which improves both cut quality and blade life—especially important for high-speed cutting.
Q: What kind of maintenance does it require?
Routine maintenance is straightforward: - Check and adjust V-belts (about 1/4" deflection) - Inspect bearings and blade condition: - Keep the machine clean - It’s built for long-term reliability.
Q: Does it include safety features for daily use?
Yes. It comes with a retractable clamshell guard and secure dual cam vises to keep material stable and operators protected.
