Description
Performance Features
The KM20-22V is an industrial abrasive mitre saw built for controlled cutting of steel solids, tubing, pipe, angle, and other common shapes. Its integrated vacuum base supports dust-controlled abrasive cutting while helping operators keep the work area cleaner.
20" or 22" Abrasive Wheel Capacity
This metal cutting mitre saw accommodates a 20" or 22" abrasive wheel on a 1" arbor, giving fabrication and production teams useful capacity for larger material.
Choice of 15 HP or 20 HP
Select a 15 HP or 20 HP, 3 PH motor to match the shop's cutting workload. Both configurations provide the power needed for regular industrial abrasive cutting.
45-Degree Cutting in Both Directions
The saw mitres up to 45 degrees left or right, helping operators make angled cuts without repeatedly moving and resetting long or heavy stock.
Built-In Dust Collection
The covered hood and vacuum base include a dust bag and 1,200 CFM collection system. The integrated collector captures abrasive dust at the cutting station to reduce airborne debris and cleanup around the saw.
Air-Operated Chain Vises
Dual air-operated chain vises hold material securely during straight and angled cuts, giving the operator better control over common structural shapes.
Useful Straight and Mitre Capacity
Cuts solids up to 4" and most shapes up to 6" at 90 degrees. At 45 degrees, the saw handles solids up to 3" and most shapes up to 5".
Applications & Industries
The KM20-22V fits shops that regularly cut steel stock and need straight or angled cuts with built-in dust collection at one dedicated station.
Metal Fabrication Shops
Cut tubing, pipe, angle, bar, and structural shapes for frames, supports, guards, and welded assemblies while capturing abrasive dust at the source.
Welding and Assembly Operations
Prepare straight and mitred components before fitting and welding. The 45-degree metal cutting capability is useful for corners, frames, and angled joints.
Production Cutting
Give operators a dedicated cutting station for repeat shop work, with air-operated clamping that helps support a consistent material-handling routine.
Maintenance Departments
Cut replacement stock and repair components for equipment, racks, carts, guards, and plant fixtures without tying up other fabrication equipment.
Structural Steel Preparation
Handle common steel shapes for stairs, railings, supports, platforms, and general construction work where straight and angled cutoffs are required.
Industrial Training Shops
Provide students and apprentices with experience in material clamping, abrasive cutting, mitre setup, and dust-control practices used in working shops.
