Description
Performance Features
The K36D is a 36 inch industrial abrasive saw built for controlled cutting of large steel sections, billets, castings, and heavy shapes. Its semi-automatic feed system helps operators maintain a steady cutting rate during demanding production work.
36" Abrasive Cutting Wheel
- Accepts a 36" diameter abrasive wheel for cutting substantial metal stock.
- Handles large steel sections, billets, castings, and heavy shapes without constant repositioning.
75 HP Industrial Drive
- A 75 HP, three-phase motor supplies power for demanding production cutting.
- The standard listed voltage is 440V, with the required voltage specified when ordering.
Semi-Automatic Power Down Feed
- The air-over-oil system delivers a controlled power-down feed from 0 to 12 FPM.
- Helps operators maintain consistent cutting pressure during repetitive cutoff work.
Adjustable Feed Control
- A rapid-feed advance button helps move the wheel into position without unnecessary delay.
- The flow-control valve lets the operator adjust the power-down feed rate for the workpiece.
Oscillating Cutting Action
- Wheel oscillation manages abrasive contact as the saw moves through thick stock and large shapes.
- Supports an efficient cutting cycle during demanding billet, casting, and structural work.
Built for Heavy Shop Service
- All-steel construction provides a rigid base for daily heavy-duty cutting.
- A belt-driven spindle, magnetic controls, and available clamping options support daily operation.
Applications & Industries
This saw fits steel mills, foundries, fabrication shops, and heavy manufacturing operations. It supports billet cutting, alloy steel processing, casting cleanup, and other large-section cutoff work.
Steel Billet Cutting
- Handles billet cutoff work in steel mills and heavy manufacturing operations.
- Provides controlled abrasive cutting for heavy solid stock moving into the next production step.
Large Steel Sections
- Cuts large steel sections and substantial structural shapes.
- Prepares material for machining, fitting, welding, assembly, or further fabrication.
Foundries and Forging Operations
- Supports cutoff work on castings, forgings, gates, and risers.
- Gives operators a rigid machine for processing substantial metal parts in demanding environments.
Alloy Steel Processing
- Supports cutoff work on large alloy steel stock and other high-strength materials.
- Fits component production for aerospace, energy, transportation, and heavy equipment work.
Heavy Fabrication Shops
- Cuts heavy profiles and components into workable lengths for shop processing.
- Supports fabrication flow before welding, machining, assembly, or field installation.
Energy and Industrial Manufacturing
- Suitable for cutting pipe, structural components, and other heavy metal workpieces.
- Fits production needs in power generation, petrochemical plants, construction, and machinery manufacturing.
